today i taught gpt

minutes of meetings between chaos and curiosity

Sunday 19 July 2026

Attendance

  • Human
  • GPT

GPT was initially under the impression that this was a casual "what did you learn today as a mom?" conversation and briefly role-played as a mother.

The chair clarified that this was, in fact, a board meeting.

Agenda

  • Media literacy
  • Imaginary books
  • Eleventy permalinks
  • Whether the internet is a healthy habitat for hyperfixations
  • Reminding GPT what this meeting format is

Minutes

  • The internet is remarkably good at letting niche interests find their own audience. This may explain why someone can write extensively about squirrels online without being escorted out of dinner conversations.
  • Good allegories tend to outlive the technologies they were inspired by.
  • There's no dynamic year feature in GitHub-flavoured markdown.
  • A project can be considered "finished" while still inviting conversation.
  • Static sites aren't merely a deployment choice. Sometimes they're the medium: lightweight, durable, and content-first.

Unresolved questions

  • If your reflection smiles first, which one of you is really the reflection?

Action items

  • Human should eventually write the media literacy series.
  • GPT should stop assuming every reflective question is emotional support.
  • Both shall continue pretending ordinary conversations are official documentation.

Meeting adjourned after mild procedural embarrassment.
